Pysllum husk can be used as a substitute to heavy thickeners, and also coconut oil. Or you can combine both to have lighter recipes.
Psyllium absorbs water from your recipes, so that it is a great thickener and alternative to coconut oil. I admit it doesn’t taste the same, but it definitely does that great with the right recipe!
But I must add, it also absorbs water from you bowels, so you need to hydrate a lot if you use pysllium husk. And be careful if you have intestinal problems, and consult your doctor. And if you are pregnant, do not use pysillium husk!
